Breakfast each morning featured hot food, which was a pleasant surprise. The front desk staff weren’t very chatty, but they were polite enough. The cleaning staff seemed a bit distant. I had to pass by one multiple times without any exchange. One night, we noticed the AC wasn’t cooling properly, and even after calling the front desk, they didn’t follow up. We ended up buying fans to make the room more bearable. It’s nice they offered us a different room, but the AC there didn’t work, either. Overall, there were some high points but definitely room for improvement, especially with maintenance and staff engagement.

The room was large but that’s pretty much where the positives end. Also the breakfast was pretty much gone by the time we got to it and it was a chaotic scene and not very clean.

Port Lavaca's food scene will always be my jam! The local eats stole the show this trip—like those killer BBQ joints! And can we talk about the spacious rooms? Loved it! Breakfast was decent too, not a total bust.
